NAMI WA State Trainings

Interested in Leading?

  • Apply for a state training to become a leader of a NAMI program!

  • Trainings in NAMI Signature programs allow local affiliates to bring programs to their/your community.

  • You must be a NAMI member or planning to be on to apply to attend State Training programs.

  • All trainings are offered at no cost to participants.

  • All trainings are online over Zoom unless otherwise noted.

A fundamental part of NAMI’s mission is to support ALL individuals affected by mental health conditions. To achieve this, NAMI programs must be inclusive, accessible, and welcoming to everyone in the community. Becoming trained as a program leader, you play a key role in fostering an environment where no one feels excluded based on gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, social class, disability, culture, language, or any other aspect of their identity. By ensuring that all community members feel encouraged to participate in NAMI programs, we strengthen our collective impact and fulfill NAMI’s mission of serving all those in need.

NAMI Washington's state trainings are offered both virtually or in person - check the application website to see how each training is being offered. If the training is offered in person, NAMI Washington will pay for meals, snacks, lodging and all training materials. Your NAMI affiliate is asked to cover your travel and other expenses that you may incur to attend this training. Lodging will be at a nearby hotel, and is single occupancy. If the training is offered virtually, then your training materials and the cost to ship them are covered.

If you need to cancel after being accepted, notify the NAMI Washington staff, no later than a week before the training otherwise your affiliate will be invoiced for $50.00 for late-dropout if the training materials have already been sent. Cancelled spots are filled with applications

from the waiting list for the class, not by sending

another affiliate member.
